The AFNWA Elders Advisory Lodge will meet virtually on Thursday morning, October 6, from 9:00 - 11:30 AM. A link was sent out by Rayleen MacDonald.
AFNWA staff are required to participate in the Incident Command System training on Friday, October 7, at the Louise Street Boardroom, starting at 8:30 AM. It is requested that staff who are taking ICS training for the first time attend the in-person session. Lunch is provided for training.
All AFNWA staff are requested to participate in the very important cultural training session from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Friday, October 7. Joining staff will be a community member and residential school survivor. This session will be held in-person at the Louise Street Boardroom.
AFNWA offices are CLOSED for Thanksgiving holiday.
Please note that all AFNWA offices are closed on Monday, October 10, 2022, for Thanksgiving Monday. We reopen on Tuesday, October 11.
An Operators Workshop is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, October 12, and Thursday, October 13, in Moncton. More details will be shared soon, please hold this date!
The AFNWA JHSC hosts its monthly meeting from 2:00 - 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 27, at the Louise Street Boardroom. A link will be available for members who cannot attend in-person.
AFNWA will be towing the float for the 2023 North American Indigenous Games. If you would like to walk with us in the parade, please let Adam or Lauren know. The parade is taking place in downtown Halifax starting at 6 pm.
